Rowan Berries

something about the Rowan Tree about keeping witches away? I just planted one in my garden but it looks more like a dead stick right now. My neighbour was from Scotland and she had one planted in her backyard but I have never seen it look like this, maybe it is too hot here in Australia.
Do you mean as to the amount of fruit? I would think that lots of fruit meant lots of water last winter, but the coming winter might be a crap shoot as far as predicting water. Rowan trees are so imbedded in British mythology and legend, especially when planted in circles. The birds will be happy, though.
