Holly Blue

Saw this little lovely on our raspberrycanes today. Not currently particularly rare, but we're trashing this planet so competently at the moment that we must enjoy these pleasures while we can.

You've got some really great photos here!

Stunning little guy! Great photography. I'm getting zilch from my digital, and have to figure out why. Seeing the "Holly Blue" reminds me suddenly that we have birds galore, and they're all around me, and very noisy, but it must be too something, or whatever, because there are almost no butterflies. But we've had some gorgeous moths in the evenings. I'm up 1818 ft. and I tend to think that the deer probably eat everything that might attract butterflies and moths.

How delicate. Love the contrast of the soft blue against the bright green.

What a pretty butterfly, I do believe I have a rather old butterfly of the same type (silvery pale blue) captured in a Victorian glass necklace. Not captured by me of course, I'm of the strict belief that nature is best in its own setting... But I digress.

Thanks for your comment, I haven't yet started the Sunday baking blog, it's currently in its test phase - as for the Latin, perhaps you should familiarise yourself thusly :)

My other blog is where all the 'stuff' happens ;-)

Fabulous photo of this delicate little creature!
