Oh, Jeremy, wnat great offerings. Your modern windmill really triggered a sudden, emotional response. I was ten again, traveling on a train through Holland to Rotterdam, to sail to NY on a freighter with my mother and four sisters. There was so much pain, fear, grieving, it is all a very painful blur. I found out I get very, very seasick, though. Your second photo was a real shocker - in-your-face intense color and shadow. Very nice. I immediately wanted to change the colors, and don't know why. Do you know?
That's a long journey when you get seasick. Sorry to jog such painful memories. Were you on the run somehow?
I just posted them because I liked them. feel free to change any colours.

On the run? Sort of. My dad died during WWII and my mom had us, her five girls, and we could not remain where we were. Being German, were sponsored by five American families, and sent by ship to NY, Ellis Isl., then by car to Montreal, where we lived permanently. It wasn't really a sad memory, but the question of moving has come up, and your windmill has brought back the memories, and made me realize that if I can move from Germany to Canada, then to California, what's the big deal in moving to another state? Consider it just another adventure. Thanks, Jeremy! And, no, I won't be changing your picture. A shock once in a while is a good thing.
Jeremy, thanks for the encouraging comments you left on my blog yesterday. your new blog, Fens Skies, is fabulous - as is your new profle pc :-)
Hi Jeremy, I'm back finally and photo Friday is on my list. Lots to do to get caught up both with reading blogs and adding to my own. Lots of pictures coming too. I'm so glad to be home.

Hi J. Just wanted to say that I really enjoy the perspective of the windmill picture. And the green of the picture below is so lush. What IS that?
Hi Annie
I did send a welcome back and congratulations message, but it doesn't seem to have got to you yet. Anyway, nice to have you back.
The green is just a sort of algaeish stuff which covers anything static here on account of the damp environment. You don't have these problems in the sunshine state!

Biene,
Moving to another state is nothing compared to what you have been through years ago, I suppose, but we do like to get our roots down as we get older. I think the adventure sounds more stimulating, though.
